We have put together some impressions from our last gatherings.
Even though we meet every second Tuesday of the month, we do not take pictures of all meetings. Therefore enjoy the ones we have.
Over 35 German-speakers joined this month’s San Diego meetup, mixing familiar faces and newcomers. We can’t wait to see you next month.
SD German Meetup with GABA hosted 50+ guests, where former Honorary Consul Stephan Hollmann introduced his successor, Jörg J. Dürrbeck.
This was our first German American meetup of 2026 and it drew more than 40 participants.
German Christmas Potluck in San Diego hosted by SDGermans and GABA, bringing the community together with guests from South California.
Another successful business mixer brought together SD Germans and GABA at the Sports Bar in San Diego, set against a beautiful September backdrop.
Thank you to GABA for joining the SDGermans in May 2025 for a Business Mixer! It was a great opportunity for both networks to connect and collaborate.
The event took place at the Schlaraffia German Clubhouse, where Peter and his team generously offered complimentary drinks and delighted everyone by serving Currywurst.
Our latest gathering was graced by the presence of roughly 15. The event proved to be an ideal platform for fostering new relationships while also rekindling old bonds with cherished friends.
It was a wonderful experience of with Glühwein, Spekulatius cookies, homemade German Christmas pastries mixed with American christmas treats. Can it get any better in beautiful San Diego?
As another Tuesday approached, this was yet another gathering of the like-minded. Come and join us for an evening of connection and friendship – after all, that is precisely why we are here.
Sometimes we’re only 5, and sometimes 25. It all depends on the mood, weather and if you have the time. This was yet another busy San Diego German Meetup.

Due to holiday season, this time we were a small group of around 12 people in San Diego, but the restaurant was nice enough to dedicate their separate room only for our traditional group that has been meeting for over 20 years.
